Staten Island's top-rated Japanese restaurant.
At Mizu, every dish starts with a promise of quality. We use the freshest seafood at our sushi bar. We grill prime Angus beef on our hibachi grills. We also use ingredients that honor Japanese tradition and celebrate our vibrant local community.
Authenticity
Recipes and techniques rooted in Japanese culinary heritage, prepared by chefs who take real pride in their craft.
Freshness
Our sushi bar sources only the finest, freshest fish. From delicate nigiri to bold specialty rolls, quality is never compromised.
Theater
Hibachi is more than cooking. It is a live performance. Our chefs turn every meal into a story worth telling.
Community
Mizu is proud to be Staten Island's own — serving neighbors, families, and celebrations across the borough since day one.
Born from Passion
Mizu means water in Japanese. It was founded on a simple belief.
Great food can bring people together. We opened on Page Avenue with a clear vision. We wanted to bring something special to Staten Island's South Shore.
From our first night of service, Mizu became a gathering place. It hosted first dates and anniversaries. It welcomed birthday celebrations and family dinners. It also became a home for the neighborhood that welcomed us.
Today, we bring that same spirit to everything we do. We offer a careful sushi bar and lively hibachi tables. We also serve premium steak house selections. Our growing catering business brings the Mizu experience to your home.
"Food is not just nourishment — it is memory, celebration, and the warmth of gathered company."
